The home side and the visitors each failed to score across 90 minutes and stoppage time, and the match ended with the same score with which it began.

Asan’s record in this competition moved to 0-0-2, and its record across all competitions is also 0-0-2. Gyeongnam’s competition record is now 0-1-1, and its overall record is also 0-1-1. Asan entered the match after a draw at Gimhae, while Gyeongnam had lost its previous match at Cheonan City. Both teams remained within reach of a first win but could not secure it in Changwon.

The first yellow card of the match went to Asan’s Sin Il-yeon in the 30th minute. The booking set the tone for a physical contest that produced seven yellow cards, five of them after halftime.

The first half ended scoreless, with Sin Il-yeon’s caution the only booking before the break. Gyeongnam made a halftime substitution involving Bae Hyun-Seo. Asan made a change involving Sin Il-yeon at the start of the second half, removing the player who had been booked in the first half. Asan’s Kim Jong-Min was booked in the 51st minute, early in a second half that featured several changes from both benches. The most important part of the game was the continued deadlock after halftime, when both teams tried to reshape their lineups but could not find a finishing breakthrough. Park Se-Jik was booked for Asan in the fourth minute of stoppage time, and Gyeongnam received a yellow card in the fifth minute of stoppage time. The final whistle arrived with the teams still level and the defensive shape of both sides intact.

Neither team was able to score in the closing minutes, and the late cautions added to the disjointed finish. The final period of stoppage time included a substitution and two yellow cards, but no change to the score. Neither team found a response in the final moments, and the match ended without a goal.

The draw left Asan still unbeaten but without a victory, while Gyeongnam remained without a win after its second match of the competition. Both clubs have now been involved in tight contests, and neither found the finishing touch needed to separate the teams. Asan’s two draws have come in the competition and across all competitions, while Gyeongnam’s loss and draw have left it chasing its first victory. The result kept both teams searching for consistency in the competition.
