Marathon edges Olancho behind early goals from Ramirez, Messiniti
SAN PEDRO SULA (Interstat) — Marathon used two early goals to take control and held off Olancho 2-1 at Estadio Yankel Rosenthal in San Pedro Sula, turning a fast start into a narrow home victory. Damin Ramirez put Marathon ahead in the second minute, finishing the first clear chance of the match. Nicolas Messiniti doubled the lead in the 13th minute, giving the home side a two-goal cushion before Olancho could settle.
