Al Nasr then made a series of changes in the 64th minute, as Agudelo, Hrustic and Al Zaabi Z. were substituted. In the 73rd minute, Mierez and Milivojevic L. were also replaced. Toure’s two assists came during a complete performance that helped Al Nasr dictate the tempo. Al Nasr’s defense preserved the shutout, while Al Riffa SC were unable to convert their limited chances into a goal. The visitors’ best spells came in transition, but Al Nasr’s back line and midfield cover prevented clear looks at goal. Al Riffa SC’s attempts to push numbers forward left space behind, but the visiting side could not capitalize. Al Nasr’s midfield kept pressing and recycling possession, forcing Al Riffa SC to chase the game for long stretches.
