Wehen cruises past Alemannia Aachen with three unanswered goals

WIESBADEN, Germany (Interstat) — Wehen scored three unanswered goals and shut out Alemannia Aachen on Wednesday, turning a tight first half into a comfortable home victory. Lukas Schleimer broke through in first-half stoppage time, Roberto Massimo added a goal in the 77th minute, and Gino Fechner also scored as Wehen pulled away. The result left Alemannia Aachen still searching for its first win in the competition and across all competitions this season. Wehen won 3-0. The home side’s pressure told before the break, and it kept control after halftime.

Fechner played the full 90 minutes and scored, giving Wehen another threat from midfield. The home side protected its lead and added to it, with Massimo’s second-half finish and Fechner’s goal putting the match out of reach. Wehen improved to 3-4-2 in the competition and 3-5-2 overall with the victory. The win continued a busy stretch for Wehen, which had beaten Ingolstadt 4-2 before a 2-1 home loss to Karlsruher SC.

Schleimer’s goal in the 45th minute plus stoppage time gave Wehen the lead just before the interval. Massimo’s 77th-minute goal then gave the home side more room.
