Nahuel Lopez gave Progreso the lead in the 26th minute, and Abel Hernandez equalized for Penarol in the second minute of second-half stoppage time. Hernandez entered as a substitute and scored after 44 minutes on the field. Lopez played the full match and scored once. Progreso held its advantage until the late equalizer. Penarol’s Jaime and Darias received yellow cards in the 58th and 76th minutes. Progreso’s Saravia was substituted in the 5th minute. Penarol’s Fernandez and Herrera were replaced at halftime, Umpierrez in the 61st, Espinosa Dovat in the 71st, and Jaime in the 78th. Progreso’s Cougo and Juambeltz were substituted in the 70th, and Ocampo and De Leon in the 83rd. Progreso is now 0-1-1 in the competition and 0-1-1 across all competitions.
