NYON, Switzerland (Interstat) — Stade Nyonnais defeated Aarau 2-1 on Friday at Centre sportif de Colovray in Nyon, earning its first competition win and first overall win. Shahin Edougue scored in the 75th minute for Stade Nyonnais, and Mohammed Guindo scored for Aarau in second-half stoppage time. Clement Betoubam and Henri Koide each recorded an assist. Edougue played 77 minutes, Guindo 28 minutes, Betoubam 22 minutes, and Koide five minutes. Yellow cards went to Stade Nyonnais’s R. Londja and R. Philippin, while Aarau’s D. Afriyie was also booked. Aarau made substitutions at the 62nd, 76th and 85th minutes. Stade Nyonnais made changes at the 68th, 77th and 85th minutes. Aarau fell to 0-1 in the competition and 0-2 overall. Stade Nyonnais improved to 1-0 in the competition and 1-0 overall. Aarau previously lost 2-1 at home to Young Boys. Stade Nyonnais will next host Basel in the Swiss Cup.
