BIGA, Turkey (Interstat) — Balikesirspor scored three unanswered goals and defeated host Bigaspor 3-0 on Wednesday at Biga İlyas Bayram Stadyumu. The visitors broke a scoreless match in the 78th minute when Tetik M. found the net, and Tibet Durakcay added a goal in the 82nd. Emir Dede also scored for Balikesirspor, while Bigaspor could not answer as the visitors controlled the match and secured the shutout. The result moved Balikesirspor to 1-0 in the competition and 4-3 across all competitions. Bigaspor fell to 0-1 in the competition and 1-2 overall. Balikesirspor’s previous meeting with Bigaspor ended in a 3-2 Bigaspor win earlier this season, but this time the visitors converted their chances and held firm defensively. Bigaspor had also lost 2-1 at Ayvalikgucu earlier this season. Balikesirspor will look to build on the win, while Bigaspor seeks its first competition victory.
