ASUNCION (Interstat) — Sportivo Trinidense defeated Sp. Luqueno 3-2 on Monday in a global football match. Ivan Maggi scored twice for the visiting side, in the 43rd and 63rd minutes, after Tomas Rayer gave Trinidense a 5th-minute lead. Gustavo Viera scored in the 76th minute, and Nestor Camacho also found the net for Trinidense. O. Ruiz and Santiago Ocampos provided assists for Luqueno, while Faustino Barone assisted for Trinidense. Rayer, who played 84 minutes, received a yellow card in the 65th minute. Cantero was booked in the 12th, Gauto in the 61st and Maiz in the 69th. Luqueno made substitutions at the 46th, 58th, 73rd and 78th minutes. Trinidense made changes at the 64th, 78th and 84th minutes. Trinidense improved to 2-0 in the competition and overall, while Luqueno fell to 0-1 in the competition and overall. The win followed Trinidense’s previous result this season, a home victory over Cerro Porteno.
