HIROSHIMA (Interstat) — Sanfrecce Hiroshima defeated Tochigi City in a game organized by the J-League Cup in Japan. Sanfrecce Hiroshima improved to 1-0 this season, while Tochigi City fell to 0-2. Shun Ayukawa of Sanfrecce Hiroshima played 90 minutes and scored one goal. Matsuki Kato of Sanfrecce Hiroshima played 80 minutes and scored one goal. Takumu Kawamura of Sanfrecce Hiroshima played 63 minutes and recorded two assists.

Yoshinobu Harada, Tochigi City’s goalkeeper, played 90 minutes, as did teammates Byron Vasquez, Masaru Kato, Keitaro Konishi, Kato C., and Tetsuya Chinen. Naoto Arai of Sanfrecce Hiroshima also played 90 minutes.

Tochigi City’s previous result this season was a 3-0 loss at Tokushima. Tochigi City is next scheduled to host Imabari.

Interstat’s ELO system had projected Sanfrecce Hiroshima with an 89.4 percent probability to win.
