CHIŞINĂU (Interstat) — Petrocub defeated Politehnica 1-0 on Sept. 19 at Complexului Sportiv al Tineretului in a Super Liga match in Moldova, getting the only goal in the second minute when Petru Popescu scored. Politehnica, the home side, could not answer. Yellow cards went to Politehnica’s Danil Andreiciu in the 34th minute and Samuel Gandi in the 83rd, while Petrocub’s Dan Puscas was booked in the 43rd, Ilie Botnari in the 88th and Pavel Nazari in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Politehnica pressed for an equalizer but could not break through before the final whistle. Petrocub’s competition record is now seven wins, three losses and three draws, and its overall record is the same. Politehnica is now four wins, six losses and three draws in the competition and overall. The match was organized by the Super Liga in Moldova. Petrocub’s next game is against Zimbru, and Politehnica travels to Milsami.
