Lokeren answered two minutes later through Sam Van Aerschot. The hosts pressed after the equalizer but could not find a winner, and Virton held on for a road point. The draw leaves Virton with three wins, one loss and one draw in the competition. Lokeren also has three wins, one draw and two losses in league play. Across all competitions, both clubs hold the same records they carry in the Challenger Pro League. Yellow cards shaped a physical contest. Virton’s Ihab Goudani and Steeven Assengue were booked in the 43rd and 44th minutes, while Alliou Dembelé received one in the 52nd. Lokeren’s Toon Janssen was cautioned in the 63rd, Maxime Pau in the 78th and Virton’s Brad Mantsounga in the 87th.
