GROTENBERGE, Belgium (Interstat) — Eendracht EG and City Pirates played to a 2-2 draw Saturday in a Belgian Division 3 match. Eendracht EG built a 2-0 lead as Kwasi Bonsu scored in the second minute and then assisted Mohamed Stéphane Traoré’s 10th-minute goal. City Pirates halved the deficit in the 28th minute through Strahinja Ristović. Eendracht EG was reduced to 10 men in the 55th minute when Amani Amunga was sent off. City Pirates equalized in the 75th minute on Joy Van Den Bogerd’s goal. Bonsu finished with a goal and an assist. Van Den Bogerd’s goal completed the comeback. Bo Geens, City Pirates’ goalkeeper, recorded an assist, and Dean Van Den Winckel also provided an assist for Eendracht EG. Both teams are 0-0-2 in Division 3 and overall this season. Yellow cards were shown to Eendracht EG’s Yentel Van Keer, Bonsu and Van Den Winckel and City Pirates’ Geens, Emil Abaz and Yassir Ibn El Mokadem. Eendracht EG next plays at Rumbeke on Sept. 20, while City Pirates hosts WS Lauwe on Sept. 19.
