MOLNDAL, Sweden (Interstat) — Vittsjo GIK W defeated Jitex BK W 5-1 on Tuesday in a Svenska Cupen Women match in Sweden. Nellie Persson scored twice for Vittsjo, in the 4th and 35th minutes, and was the top star. Thelma Alexandersson scored for Jitex in the 64th minute. Jitex hosted the match but trailed early after Persson’s opening strike. Vittsjo added goals in the 81st, 83rd and fifth minute of stoppage time to secure the win. Persson played 90 minutes, while Alexandersson also played 90 minutes. Vittsjo scored three goals after the 80th minute. Vittsjo improved to 1-0 in the competition and 2-0 across all competitions. Jitex moved to 1-1 in the competition and 1-1 overall. Vittsjo had entered after a 3-1 victory in its previous match, while Jitex had won 4-0 at Öckerö in its previous outing. Vittsjo’s attack scored five times and secured the road result. Jitex could not recover after conceding early.
