ATHENS (Interstat) — Kalamáta defeated Vólos 3-1 on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, in a Super League 1 match at Stadio Peristeriou. Vólos struck first in the 26th minute when Matías González scored. Kalamáta answered in the 59th minute through Erik Hamza, then went ahead in the 84th minute on Jovanny Bolívar’s goal. Hamza added his second in the third minute of stoppage time. The hosts trailed at halftime after González’s opener, but Hamza leveled after the break and Bolívar put Kalamáta in front before Hamza sealed the win. González also had an assist for Vólos. Gonzalo Piñeiro provided an assist for Kalamáta, while Georgios Mygas, Vasileios Grosdis and Hamza Mendyl each recorded an assist for Vólos. Yellow cards went to Vólos’ Grosdis and González and to Kalamáta’s Piñeiro and Julio Alonso, plus Vólos’ Mendyl and Mygas. The result gave Kalamáta a 1-0 league record and left Vólos 0-1. Kalamáta returns to league play against Panathinaikós, and Vólos faces AEK.
