HARTLEPOOL, England (Interstat) — Cory Brew, Ricky Aguiar and Jose Marquez scored as Worthing defeated Hartlepool 3-1 in a National League match Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at The Prestige Group Stadium. Brew put Worthing ahead in the 35th minute, and Aguiar doubled the lead in the 59th. William Harris pulled Hartlepool within one in the 77th. Marquez sealed the result in the second minute of stoppage time. Marquez also received a yellow card. Hartlepool’s Cameron John was booked in the 27th minute, while Worthing’s Jack Wadham and Dominic Hutchinson were cautioned in the 31st and 39th. Harris played 90 minutes and scored once. Brew played 90 minutes and scored once. Marquez played 15 minutes and scored once. Worthing improved to four wins, three losses and two draws overall and in the National League. Hartlepool fell to three wins and six losses overall and in the National League. Worthing hosts Halifax on Sept. 26. Hartlepool visits Scunthorpe the same day.
