DÜSSELDORF (Interstat) — Eric Hottmann scored in the 86th minute as Düsseldorf rallied for a 2-1 victory over Duisburg on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, in a 3. Liga match at Merkur Spielarena. Peter Remmert put Duisburg ahead in the 46th minute before Fabian Schleusener equalized for Düsseldorf in the 68th. Schleusener, a Düsseldorf midfielder, recorded one goal and a yellow card while playing 88 minutes. Remmert, a Duisburg midfielder, scored once and played 85 minutes. Düsseldorf overcame a one-goal deficit. Düsseldorf’s Andreas Müller was booked in the 45th minute, Schleusener in the 64th and Erik Wekesser in the third minute of stoppage time.
