AMSTERDAM (Interstat) — Ajax and Excelsior played to a 2-2 draw Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, in an Eredivisie match at Johan Cruijff Arena. The match featured four goals and three yellow cards. Julian Brandt put Ajax ahead in the 32nd minute. Lennard Hartjes equalized for Excelsior in first-half stoppage time. Aymen Sliti then gave Excelsior a 2-1 lead in the 62nd minute, but Tolu Arokodare answered two minutes later to level the match for Ajax. Hartjes, an Excelsior midfielder, played 90 minutes and scored once.
