LONDON (Interstat) — Aston Villa defeated Tottenham 3-2 on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, in a Premier League match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The visitors scored three goals before Tottenham’s late rally fell short. Johan Manzambi led Villa with a goal and an assist, scoring in first-half stoppage time. Nicolas Jackson added a second in the 67th minute before Emiliano Buendía made it 3-0 in the 79th. Tottenham rallied late as Conor Gallagher scored in the 86th and Jan Paul van Hecke struck in the eighth minute of second-half stoppage time. Van Hecke, Jackson and Matty Cash were booked. Boubacar Kamara and Andy Robertson each supplied an assist. Manzambi played 72 minutes, Jackson 88, Gallagher six, Robertson 90 and Kamara 84. Aston Villa improved to 1-3-1 in the Premier League and overall. Tottenham fell to 0-3-2 in the league and overall. Aston Villa next hosts Brentford on Oct. 10. Tottenham visits Manchester United on Oct. 10.
