GC Zürich responded and held a 2-1 advantage, with Giotto Morandi among its scorers. Rilind Nivokazi then scored twice, in the 63rd and 69th minutes, before Fodé Sylla added a goal in the 82nd and Josias Lukembila closed the scoring in stoppage time. Sion improved to 6-2 in the competition and overall. GC Zürich moved to 2-4-1 in the competition and overall. Yellow cards were issued to Sion’s Baltazar, Ylyas Chouaref and Numa Lavanchy and GC Zürich’s Yannick Bettkober, Allan Arigoni and Bujar Pllana. Sion had won 3-0 at St. Gallen on Sept. 12, while GC Zürich won 1-0 at Thun the same day. Sion next faces FC Zürich on Saturday, Sept. 19, while GC Zürich visits FC Luzern the same day.
