ABOVYAN, Armenia (Interstat) — Marko Lazetić scored in the 59th minute Sunday to lift Noah to a 1-0 victory over Alashkert at Vahagn Tumasyan Stadium. Noah improved to 1-0 in the Armenian Premier League and across all competitions, while Alashkert fell to 0-1 in both. The decisive finish came from Lazetić, who converted Noah’s best chance of the afternoon. Noah entered the match with early-season confidence after victories over Shirak and Syunik. Alashkert had also started strongly, posting shutout wins against BKMA and Ararat, but could not break through against Noah’s defense. The visiting side was held without a goal for the first time this campaign. Both teams now turn their attention to the next round of league fixtures. Noah travels to BKMA on Aug. 22, while Alashkert hosts Gandzasar on Aug. 20. Sunday’s result marked the first regular-season meeting between the two clubs and gave Noah an early edge in the standings. Alashkert will look to rebound from its first loss and return to the form that produced consecutive clean-sheet victories to open its schedule.
