Thursday, August 13, 2026 · Final · ENG: Premier League Cup

TELFORD, England (Interstat) — Conor McLeod scored twice in the opening 40 minutes to lead Wolves U21 to a 2‑0 victory over Burnley U21 in the Premier League Cup on Thursday at SEAH Stadium.

(Interstat) — McLeod gave Wolves the lead in the 30th minute and doubled the advantage 10 minutes later. Wesley Okoduwa assisted the first goal, and substitute Murray Campbell set up the second.

Burnley’s Emilio Ballard-Matthews had an assist of his own, but the visitors could not convert their chances and finished without a goal. Despite Ballard-Matthews’ creativity in the final third, Burnley lacked the finishing touch. The Burnley defense held until the 30th minute, but McLeod’s double proved decisive.

The result gave Wolves a clean sheet and left both teams with a 0-0 record in the competition, as they have yet to register a win or loss in the Premier League Cup. The two sides are scheduled to meet again Nov. 25 in Burnley.
