NYON, Switzerland (Interstat) — Neuchâtel defeated Nyonnais 3-1 Friday at Centre Sportif de Colovray in Challenge League play. Eris Abedini opened scoring for Neuchâtel in the 31st minute. Léon Bergsma equalized for Nyonnais in the 33rd minute. Peter Ambrose then scored in the 72nd and 84th minutes, giving Neuchâtel the win. Ambrose, a forward, played 90 minutes and finished with two goals. Lucas Ribeiro received a yellow card for Nyonnais in the 89th minute. Neuchâtel improved to 4 wins and 4 losses in Challenge League play and across all competitions. Nyonnais remained winless at 0 wins, 6 losses and 2 draws in the competition and across all competitions.
