Bellmāre and Tegevajaro play to scoreless draw in J2 League
SHINTOMI, Japan (Interstat) — In a tightly contested J2 League match Friday, Bellmāre and Tegevajaro played to a 0-0 draw at Ichigo Miyazaki Shintomi Football Stadium. The result gave both clubs identical records of 0 wins, 0 losses and 1 draw in league competition, and the same mark across all competitions this season. The match saw Hikaru Manabe booked with a yellow card in the 12th minute and Kenta Matsuyama in the 66th. Despite those cautions, play remained disciplined, with neither side finding the back of the net over the course of 90 minutes. Tegevajaro, which had earned a draw and suffered a loss in its previous two league outings, was unable to capitalize on home advantage. Bellmāre, meanwhile, could not extend its early-season momentum after winning its first two matches. The two sides settled for a point apiece. Bellmāre next faces Vegalta at home on Sept. 4. Tegevajaro travels to Vegalta on Aug. 28 as both teams continue their J2 League campaigns.
