USM Khenchela vs MB Rouisset

KHENCHELA, Algeria (Interstat) — USM Khenchela hosts MB Rouisset on Friday in an Algerian Ligue 1 matchup, with both teams looking to build on recent victories. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.

MB Rouisset enters the match on a three-game winning streak in all competitions. The visitors last played Saturday, defeating USM Alger 1-0. That result followed a 2-1 win over Paradou AC on May 19 and a 1-1 draw with Kabylie on April 17. Prior to that, Rouisset lost three of four matches, including a 3-1 defeat at CR Belouizdad on March 7 and a 2-1 loss at ES Setif on Feb. 20. Rouisset also lost 3-2 at ES Ben Aknoun on March 18. The team’s recent form has been bolstered by clean sheets in two of its last three outings.

USM Khenchela has been inconsistent but is coming off a 2-1 home win against USM Alger on May 25. That victory snapped a three-match winless run for the home side. Before that, Khenchela drew 2-2 at CS Constantine on May 19 and lost 3-1 at CR Belouizdad on May 4. Khenchela’s best stretch this spring came in early April, with a 3-0 win at ES Mostaganem followed by a 1-0 home victory over Paradou AC. The team has struggled defensively in recent weeks, allowing multiple goals in three of its last five matches.

The head-to-head history heavily favors the visitors. In the most recent meeting on Jan. 9, MB Rouisset won 2-0 at home against Khenchela. Rouisset has now won two straight in the series, both by shutout. Khenchela’s last win over Rouisset came earlier this season, a 2-1 victory at home.

Friday’s game, part of the regular Ligue 1 schedule, kicks off at the USM Khenchela Stadium. Both teams are mid-table and seeking to improve their positioning as the season enters its final stretch.
