FK Sarajevo vs Zeljeznicar

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina (Interstat) — FK Sarajevo and Zeljeznicar will meet Monday in a Premijer Ženska Liga matchup that carries weight near the top of the table, with both sides coming off positive results last week.

Kickoff is scheduled for May 25, 2026, at FK Sarajevo’s home ground, though no official venue has been announced. The teams last met April 4, a scoreless draw in Sarajevo. That result followed a dominant 4-0 home victory for FK Sarajevo on Dec. 7, 2025, and a 2-0 win for Zeljeznicar in Sarajevo on Sept. 27, 2025. In three head-to-head meetings this season, each side has one win and one draw.

FK Sarajevo (7-2-1 in its last 10 league matches) enters Monday’s game after a 3-2 road win Thursday at FK Velež Mostar. Earlier this month, Sarajevo beat Rudar Prijedor 4-2 and drew 2-2 at Siroki Brijeg. Its only loss in the past five games was a 1-0 defeat at ZBorac Banja on May 3. Sarajevo has shown offensive firepower, scoring four goals in three different matches this season, but has also been held scoreless in three of its last 11 outings.

Zeljeznicar (4-4-2 in its last 10) comes off a 2-2 draw Thursday at Siroki Brijeg. That result ended a two-game losing streak: 1-0 at ZBorac Banja on May 16 and 2-0 at Zrinjski on May 1. Zeljeznicar did post a 3-0 win at Sloga Doboj on May 10 and a 1-0 victory at Rudar Prijedor on April 21. The team has struggled for consistency, alternating wins with losses or draws. Its defense has been solid, keeping clean sheets in four of its past eight matches.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-0 victory for Zeljeznicar, a shift from the teams’ recent form. FK Sarajevo has won four of its past six matches overall, while Zeljeznicar has two wins in its last six.

The match is part of the regular season in Bosnia’s top women’s football division. Neither team has publicly commented on lineup changes or injuries. Both sides will look to build momentum as the season enters its final stretch.
