Gorilla FC vs Etincelles
KIGALI, Rwanda (Interstat) — Gorilla FC and Etincelles will meet Tuesday in a National Soccer League match at an undetermined venue, with both sides seeking to break a string of recent draws.
The fixture comes after a scoreless stalemate on Oct. 25, 2025, when Gorilla FC hosted Etincelles to a 0-0 result. That contest extended a trend of low-scoring encounters between the clubs, who have combined for just two goals in their past five meetings.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 tie for Tuesday’s match, mirroring the teams’ recent form.
Etincelles enters the matchup on the heels of a 3-2 win over Marine FC on May 16, snapping a three-match winless run. Prior to that victory, Etincelles had drawn 2-2 with Gasogi United FC on May 10, lost 4-1 to El Merreikh SC Omdurman on May 7, and played to 0-0 draws against Amagaju FC and Kiyovu Sports in early May. The club’s season has been defined by defensive resilience: in 11 matches since Feb. 15, Etincelles has kept five clean sheets but has scored more than two goals only once. Attackers have managed just 11 goals over that span, with the 3-2 win over Marine being the only match in which they netted multiple times.
Gorilla FC, meanwhile, arrives after a 1-1 draw at Rayon Sports on May 15. That result followed a 2-1 loss to Mukura on May 9 and a 2-1 win over AS Kigali FC on May 6. Gorilla FC’s season has been inconsistent: victories over Muhanga and Gicumbi were overshadowed by losses to Gasogi United, Amagaju and APR FC. The club has not won consecutive matches since late March and has struggled to find the net consistently, averaging exactly one goal per game over its last 10 outings.
The National Soccer League contest marks the second league meeting between the sides this campaign. With both teams hovering near mid-table, Tuesday’s result could prove pivotal in the standings.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time.
