AS-SUWAYS (Interstat) — ZED defeated El Masry SC 1-0 on Monday in a League Cup match at As-Suways Stadium.

Mostafa El Aash, a substitute, scored the only goal in the 79th minute, a header off an assist from Rafaat Khalil. El Aash also provided an assist earlier in the buildup, though his primary contribution was the decisive strike. Midfielder Hamdi Alaa and defender Mohamed Rabiea each recorded an assist as well, with Rabiea’s coming before he received a yellow card in the 55th minute.

The match featured four yellow cards. Hamdi Alaa was booked in the 44th minute, Rabiea in the 55th, Rafaat Khalil in the 84th and El Aash in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time. Rabiea was sent off in the 85th minute after receiving a second yellow card, leaving ZED with 10 men for the final five minutes plus stoppage time.

ZED’s victory gave the team a 1-0 record in the League Cup competition and a 1-0 record across all competitions. El Masry SC fell to 0-1 in the League Cup and 0-1 overall.

The game was organized by the Egyptian League Cup and played at the As-Suways Stadium in as-Suways.
