GENT, Belgium (Interstat) — Gent and Union St-Gilloise played to a 0-0 draw Thursday in First Division A action at Planet Group Arena.

Both teams opened their seasons with a draw, each now 0-0-1 in league play and across all competitions.

Four players recorded assists despite the lack of goals. Defender Siebe Van der Heyden, midfielder Michał Skóraś, forwards Momodou Sonko and Wilfried Kanga each had one assist.

The match featured four yellow cards. Kanga was cautioned in the 41st minute. Skóraś and Van der Heyden were booked in the 57th minute. Sonko received a yellow card in the 83rd minute.
