Kraig vs USC Landhaus W
AP Sports Preview
KRAIG, Austria (Interstat) — Kraig will host USC Landhaus W on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in a 2. Frauenliga matchup that pits two sides desperate for a positive result after inconsistent runs this spring.
Kraig enters the game on a three-match losing streak, most recently falling 3-2 at Grazer AK 1902 on May 16. That defeat followed a 1-1 home draw against LUV Graz W on May 10 and a 3-1 loss at R-W Rankweil W on May 3. Kraig has not won since April 18, when it beat Gmünd 1-0. The home side’s overall record this season includes heavy losses to Krottendorf W (4-0) and Rapid (3-0), as well as a 5-2 victory over SPG Geretsberg W on April 4.
USC Landhaus W comes off a 1-1 draw at home against SPG Geretsberg W on May 16. That result extended a mixed stretch in which Landhaus lost 4-0 at Krottendorf W on May 9 but beat Saalfelden W 3-1 on May 3. Landhaus has shown resilience at times, with wins over Wiener SC (1-0) and Wack Innsbruck W (2-0) in March, but also suffered 1-0 defeats to Austria Klagenfurt and Grazer AK 1902.
The teams met once this season: Nov. 8, 2025, when Kraig drew 1-1 at home against Landhaus. That match, played in the fall, produced the same score line that Interstat’s game simulator projects for Sunday’s rematch: Kraig 1, USC Landhaus W 1.
Kraig will look to tighten its defense, which has allowed 16 goals in its last five games. Landhaus, meanwhile, has scored in four of its last five but managed only one goal in three of those matches. Both sides sit in the middle of the 2. Frauenliga table, and a draw would do little to separate them in the standings.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time at Sportplatz Kraig. The match is part of the regular season schedule for Austria’s second-tier women’s league.
