MATOSINHOS, Portugal (Interstat) — Leixoes defeated Lusitania Lourosa 2-1 on Sunday in a Segunda Liga match at Estádio do Mar. Bryan Róchez scored in the 74th minute to break a tie and give Leixoes the lead. The victory improved Leixoes to 13 wins, 14 losses and four draws in league play and 18-16-6 across all competitions. Lusitania Lourosa dropped to 11-12-10 in the league and 14-13-10 overall.

Leixoes entered the match having won two of its last three league games, including a 2-1 victory at GD Chaves on May 9. Lusitania Lourosa had lost its previous game, 2-1 to SC União Torreense on May 9, after a scoreless draw with UD Oliveirense. The teams had played to a 2-2 draw in their previous meeting on Jan. 8, 2026.

Leixoes’ defense denied any further scoring from Lusitania Lourosa in the closing minutes. The win gave Leixoes its 13th league victory of the season, while Lusitania Lourosa suffered its 12th league loss.
