ADO '20 vs VV Scherpenzeel

HEEMSKERK, Netherlands (Interstat) — ADO ’20 hosts VV Scherpenzeel on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Sportpark De Vlotter Veld 1 in a Derde Divisie matchup that pits two mid-table sides with contrasting recent form.

The teams played to a 1-1 draw Dec. 6, 2025, in Scherpenzeel. Interstat’s game simulator projects another 1-1 stalemate.

ADO ’20 enters the match with momentum, having won 2-0 at Staphorst on April 25. That victory snapped a five-match winless streak (0-3-2) that included draws against USV Hercules (2-2 on March 29) and ROHDA Raalte (0-0 on March 22), and losses to SV Excelsior’31 (2-0 on March 14) and SC Genemuiden (4-1 on Feb. 21).

Home form has been inconsistent. ADO ’20 scored five goals in a 5-1 win over Hoogeveen on Feb. 15, but also lost 4-1 to SC Genemuiden at home 10 days earlier. The club’s last home defeat before that was a 2-0 loss to Excelsior’31.

Offensively, ADO ’20 has shown the ability to score in bursts, netting nine goals across three matches in February, but has been held scoreless in four of its last 10 league fixtures.

VV Scherpenzeel arrives after a 4-0 rout of Huizen on April 25, its second clean-sheet win in three matches. The visitors have won four of their last 10 games, but have lost three of their last five road matches, including defeats at Sparta Nijkerk W (2-0 on April 11) and Hoogeveen (1-0 on March 22).

Scherpenzeel’s attack has been potent at times, scoring four goals against SV Urk on Feb. 28 and three against SV TEC on Feb. 7. However, the team has been shut out in four of its last 10 outings, including a 3-0 loss at home to SV DVS ’33 on March 28.

The visitors’ defense has been vulnerable on the road, allowing multiple goals in three of their last five away games. Still, Scherpenzeel recorded a 4-0 win at Sportlust ’46 on March 7 and a 4-1 victory at SV Urk on Feb. 28.

Both teams sit in the middle of the Derde Divisie table, and Saturday’s result could have implications for final positioning. With the simulator forecasting a draw, the match may hinge on which side can break the deadlock first.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time.
