ZBorac Banja vs Zeljeznicar

BANJA LUKA, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Interstat) — ZBorac Banja hosts Zeljeznicar on Saturday in a Premijer Ženska Liga match that pits two teams trending in opposite directions.

ZBorac Banja (10-4-3 through 17 games) enters on a three-match winning streak after a 1-0 victory at Siroki Brijeg on May 10. The home side has not lost since a 2-2 draw with FK Velež Mostar on April 18, a stretch that includes triumphs over FK Sarajevo and Sloga Doboj.

Zeljeznicar (9-5-3) bounced back from a 2-0 loss at Zrinjski on May 1 by blanking Sloga Doboj 3-0 on May 10. The visitors have posted four clean sheets in their last six outings but have struggled to score consistently, netting only once in their past four league games.

Saturday’s contest renews a rivalry that has produced tightly contested results. In the most recent meeting, ZBorac Banja defeated Zeljeznicar 1-0 on March 14. Prior to that, ZBorac Banja won 2-1 on Nov. 29, 2025, while Zeljeznicar claimed a 3-2 victory on Sept. 15, 2025.

ZBorac Banja has been strong at home, where it has lost only once all season. The attack has been paced by a balanced scoring attack, with six different players finding the net in the last five matches. The defense, anchored by goalkeeper Lejla Selimović, has conceded just two goals during the winning streak.

Zeljeznicar’s defense has been equally stingy, surrendering only one goal in the last four games. Forward Amina Kovačević leads the team with eight goals, but the offense has lacked rhythm since late March. The midfield trio of Emina Dedić, Sara Halilović and Mia Petrović will need to create chances against a compact ZBorac Banja back line.

The match carries implications for the league table. ZBorac Banja sits second, two points behind leaders FK Sarajevo. Zeljeznicar is third, four points behind the hosts. A victory for either side could shape the title race with four matches remaining.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-0 win for Zeljeznicar.

Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. local time at Stadion Banja Luka.
