Zrinjski vs Posusje

MOSTAR, Bosnia-Herzegovina (Interstat) — Zrinjski hosts Posusje on Saturday in a Premijer Ženska Liga match that could tighten the standings near the top of the Bosnian women’s football table.

Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. local time at the Stadion pod Bijelim Brijegom.

Zrinjski enters the weekend on a three-match winning streak after a 1-0 victory at Radnik Bijeljina on May 9. The win followed a 1-0 home triumph over FK Velež Mostar on May 6 and a 2-0 victory at Zeljeznicar on May 1. Over their last 10 league games, Zrinjski has posted six wins, two losses and two draws.

The home side, however, dropped two of three matches in late April — a 2-1 loss at Siroki Brijeg on April 26 and a 2-1 defeat at FK Sarajevo on April 11 — but bounced back with a 3-0 win over Sloga Doboj on April 18 and a 1-1 draw with ZBorac Banja on April 22.

Posusje, the visitors, are coming off a 1-1 draw at home against FK Velež Mostar on May 9. That result ended a two-game losing streak: a 3-2 loss at Rudar Prijedor on May 2 and a 1-0 defeat at FK Sarajevo on April 26. Posusje’s form has been uneven, with three wins, four losses and three draws in their last 10 outings.

The head-to-head series this season is tight. Posusje won the most recent meeting, 1-0 at home on March 15. Before that, Posusje earned a 2-0 victory at Zrinjski on Nov. 30, 2025. The lone Zrinjski win in the last three meetings came Sept. 14, 2025, a 1-0 decision at Posusje. Overall, Posusje holds a 2-1 edge in the three matches this campaign.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-0 victory for Zrinjski, a prediction that aligns with the home team’s recent defensive solidity. Zrinjski has kept clean sheets in four of their last five matches, while Posusje has scored only two goals in their past five away games.

Saturday’s match carries added significance for both sides as the season enters its final weeks. A win for Zrinjski could propel them closer to the top of the table, while Posusje will look to snap a run of inconsistent results and strengthen their own push for a higher finish.
