TEL AVIV, Israel (Interstat) — MH Beitar Jerusalem defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-1 on Saturday at Bloomfield Stadium in a Liga Bet match. Dor Peretz opened the scoring in the 51st minute for Maccabi Tel Aviv, but Omer Atzily equalized for Beitar Jerusalem in the 60th minute as a substitute. Timoti Lior Muzi, also a substitute, scored the winning goal in the 80th minute. Mohamed Aly Camara, Emir Sahiti and Elad Madmon each recorded an assist. Yellow cards were issued to Camara in the 24th minute, Sahiti in the 37th and Madmon in the 88th. The victory improved Beitar Jerusalem’s Liga Bet record to 7-2-4 and its overall mark to 8-3-4. Maccabi Tel Aviv fell to 6-3-2 in league play and 21-10-4 across all competitions. The teams had played to a 0-0 draw in their previous meeting Feb. 16.
