KIGALI, Rwanda (Interstat) — Marine FC will look to extend its dominance over Etincelles when the two sides meet Saturday in a National Soccer League match.

Marine defeated Etincelles 2-0 in their most recent meeting Sept. 20, 2025. The home team enters Saturday’s contest after a 2-1 loss at Rayon Sports on May 9, but had posted a 4-0 win at Bugesera FC three days earlier. Over its last 10 league matches, Marine has four wins, three losses and three draws, including a 1-1 draw at Al Hilal SC Omdurman on April 4 and a 5-3 loss at Rutsiro on Feb. 28. The team’s only home result in that span was a 2-2 draw with APR FC on March 7, as its previous home game — a 1-0 loss to AS Kigali FC on April 17 — was played after that.

Etincelles has struggled to secure victories. The visiting side played to a 2-2 draw at Gasogi United FC on May 10, and has only one win in its last 11 matches — a 2-1 victory at Muhanga on Feb. 15. Otherwise, Etincelles has recorded seven draws and three losses in that span, with scoreless draws against Amagaju FC, Kiyovu Sports, Rutsiro, AS Kigali FC and Gicumbi FC, and 1-1 draws with Police and Rayon Sports. A 4-1 loss at El Merreikh SC Omdurman on May 7 highlighted offensive struggles.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Marine FC 2, Etincelles 1. Interstat’s ELO system gives Marine a 78.60 percent probability of winning.

Saturday’s match is part of the Rwanda National Soccer League season. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time at Marine’s home ground. The teams are mid-table, with Marine seeking consistency and Etincelles aiming to convert draws into wins.

Marine will rely on its attack, which produced four goals at Bugesera, while Etincelles will look to break a pattern of low-scoring stalemates. If Interstat’s projections hold, Marine is heavily favored to claim three points.
