HARELBEKE, Belgium (Interstat) — RC Harelbeke defeated Jong Essevee 3-0 on Sunday at Forestiersstadion in a Belgian Division 2 match. Tsotne Bendianishvili opened the scoring in the 37th minute, and Mykhailo Dubrovnyi added a goal in the 82nd minute. Dubrovnyi also received a yellow card in the same minute. Jong Essevee’s Kobe Deruijck and Kewan Vemba were booked in the 43rd and 58th minutes, respectively. The win improved Harelbeke’s league record to 11 wins, nine losses and 18 draws. Jong Essevee fell to 19 wins, 24 losses and 18 draws. Harelbeke had beaten Jong Essevee 4-1 on the road March 14, while their previous meeting Oct. 12 ended in a 2-2 draw. Harelbeke entered the match having won two of its last three outings, including a 2-1 victory at KV Diksmuide Oostende on May 1. Jong Essevee had won its previous contest 3-2 at K. Bocholter VV on May 3.
