Fakirerpool YMC vs PWD SC

DHAKA, Bangladesh (Interstat) — Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club will host PWD Sports Club on Friday, May 15, in a Bangladesh Premier League matchup that brings together two sides desperate to halt recent skids.

Both teams enter the game at the Bangabandhu National Stadium reeling from lopsided defeats on May 8. Fakirerpool YMC (1-7-6) conceded seven goals in a 7-1 humiliation against Fortis FC, its heaviest loss of the season. PWD SC (3-5-7) fell 2-0 at home to Abahani.

The head-to-head series is tied 1-1 this season. Fakirerpool earned a 2-1 road victory Dec. 27, 2025, but PWD SC answered with a 2-0 home win Dec. 9, 2025. Each side has been strong at home in the rivalry.

Fakirerpool has lost six of its past seven games. The lone bright spot was a scoreless draw at Rahmatgonj MFS on April 28. The club was outscored 14-3 during that stretch, including a 3-1 loss to Bangladesh Police and a 2-0 defeat to Brothers Union. Before the Fortis loss, Fakirerpool managed only one goal in five matches.

PWD SC has been nearly as erratic, winning just two of its last seven games. The club beat Brothers Union 2-1 on April 18 and topped Abahani 1-0 on April 28, only to lose 1-0 at Bangladesh Police on May 1. The 2-0 loss to Abahani last week followed a 3-1 defeat to Mohammedan Dhaka. PWD SC has been shut out six times this season.

The teams share a vulnerability early in matches. Fakirerpool has conceded 13 first-half goals; PWD SC has allowed 11. Both struggle to generate offense, ranking among the league’s bottom four in goals scored.

The Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, a result that would keep both teams mired in the lower half of the table. Fakirerpool sits 11th, two points above last place. PWD SC is 10th, three points clear of the relegation zone.

Friday’s game kicks off at 4 p.m. local time. Both clubs have been outscored by double digits this season, making any defensive stand a premium.
