HELSINGOR, Denmark (Interstat) — Hillerod and Esbjerg fB played to a 1-1 draw Saturday in a 2. Division match at Helsingør Ny Stadion.

John Kolawole, a substitute, opened the scoring in the 57th minute for Hillerod. Frederik Hedegaard, a forward, equalized for Esbjerg in the 70th minute.

Esbjerg’s season record in the competition shifted to 13 wins, nine losses and seven draws. The club stands at 19 wins, 15 losses and eight draws across all competitions. Hillerod’s league mark improved to 11 wins, five losses and seven draws, while its overall record is 15 wins, 10 losses and seven draws.

The draw continued a recent trend between the sides, who had also played to a scoreless stalemate on April 17 and a 2-2 tie on March 15. Hillerod had won the previous meeting, 3-0, on Sept. 14.

Esbjerg entered having won its last outing, 3-0 over Kolding IF on May 9, while Hillerod had lost 4-0 to AC Horsens the same day.
