Hemelingen vs Vatan Sport

BREMEN, Germany (Interstat) – Hemelingen will host Vatan Sport on Friday, May 15, 2026, in an Oberliga clash that pits the division’s most potent attack against a visiting side fighting to halt a downward spiral.

Hemelingen enters the match riding a nine-game unbeaten streak in league play, a run that includes seven wins and two draws. The home side most recently dismantled FC Union 60 Bremen 4-0 on Saturday, May 9, and has outscored opponents 28-4 during its last six outings. Hemelingen’s only loss since late March came March 28, when BTS Neustadt edged them 2-1. Otherwise, the team has been dominant: a 6-0 thrashing of Woltmershausen on Wednesday, May 6, followed a 1-0 win over Eiche Horn on May 3, and a 6-2 defeat of ESC Geestemuende on April 26. Hemelingen’s high-scoring form includes six wins by four or more goals this season.

Vatan Sport arrives in dire need of a turnaround. The visitors snapped a five-match losing streak with a 3-1 victory at Habenhauser FV on Wednesday, May 6, but prior to that had conceded 15 goals while scoring just three in five straight defeats. Among those losses: a 6-0 thrashing by FC Union 60 Bremen on April 3 and a 4-0 blanking at Blumenthaler SV on March 28. Vatan Sport’s form has been erratic – they managed a 2-2 draw at Leher TS on April 17 and a 3-1 win over Werder Bremen III on April 26, but have been outscored 18-7 over their last eight matches.

The head-to-head record heavily favors Hemelingen. In their most recent meeting, on Nov. 28, 2025, Hemelingen crushed Vatan Sport 7-0 at home. That result continued a trend; Hemelingen has won each of the last four encounters, including a 5-0 decision earlier last season.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-2 final score in favor of Hemelingen, while the Interstat ELO system gives the home side a 96.1 percent probability of victory.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Hemelingen Sports Park.
