SUBOTICA, Serbia (Interstat) — IMT Novi Beograd defeated Spartak Subotica 1-0 on Saturday at Gradski stadion in the Serbian Super Liga opener.

Rafael Junior scored the lone goal in the seventh minute, finishing a sequence that also earned him an assist. Seven players recorded assists overall: Rafael Junior, Ismael Casas Casado, Boris Sekulić, Nikola Kuveljić, Josué Tiendrébéogo, Enzo Gonzaga and Luka Krstović.

The match featured seven yellow cards, starting with Sekulić in the fourth minute, followed by Kuveljić in the 14th, Rafael Junior in the 30th, Casado in the 33rd, Krstović in the 50th, Tiendrébéogo in the 60th and Gonzaga in the 84th.

IMT Novi Beograd improved to 1-0 in league play and across all competitions. Spartak Subotica dropped to 0-1 in both standings.
