Linnameeskond vs Flora
Estonian Cup Preview: Flora Visits Linnameeskond on Saturday
TALLINN, Estonia (Interstat) — Flora will look to extend its winning momentum when it visits Linnameeskond in the Estonian Cup on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at a venue to be announced. The match, organized by the Estonian Football Association, is the latest round in the domestic knockout competition.
Flora enters the fixture on a positive note, having defeated JK Narva Trans 1-0 on Tuesday, May 5. That result stopped a two-game losing streak against Valur in July 2025, when Flora fell 3-0 and 2-1 on consecutive days. However, Flora’s season has been an erratic one. The team posted a lopsided 14-0 win over Team Helm on Aug. 20, 2025, but earlier suffered an 8-1 loss to Tartu JK Tammeka on Aug. 12, 2025. In head-to-head meetings with FCI Levadia, Flora lost 4-0 on Oct. 12, 2025, before rebounding with a 3-1 victory on Oct. 29, 2025. A bizarre result on July 30, 2025, shows Flora defeating itself 12-1 in an apparent internal match, though the context of that contest is unclear.
Linnameeskond will be playing at home after a 2-0 victory over Pärnu JK Vaprus on Wednesday, May 6. That win followed a dominant 6-0 shutout of JK Tallinna Kalev on March 11, 2026. Earlier in the season, Linnameeskond compiled a mixed record. The team defeated Tartu JK Tammeka 3-0 on Oct. 29, 2025, and edged Kuressaare 2-1 on Aug. 13, 2025. However, Linnameeskond struggled in international competition against AIK, losing 6-0 on July 31, 2025, and 2-0 on July 24, 2025. The club also dropped a pair of matches to Storfors AIK Fot on the same day, both by 2-0 scores. In friendlies against Magpies, Linnameeskond posted a 4-1 win on July 17, 2025, followed by a 3-2 victory on July 10, 2025.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a tight contest, forecasting a 1-0 win for Flora.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, with the winner advancing in the Cup bracket.
