Arambagh vs Mohammedan Dhaka
DHAKA, Bangladesh (Interstat) — Arambagh KS will host Mohammedan Dhaka on Saturday in a Bangladesh Premier League matchup that carries contrasting momentum for two clubs seeking consistency.
Saturday’s game, scheduled for May 9 at an undetermined venue, follows a dominant performance by Mohammedan Dhaka. The visiting side blanked Rahmatgonj MFS 3-0 on Tuesday, its second clean sheet in four matches. That result snapped a two-game losing streak that included a 2-1 home defeat to Bashundhara Kings on April 30 and a 3-1 win at PWD SC on April 25.
Mohammedan’s form over the past seven games has been erratic: three wins, three losses and one draw. The team’s most lopsided result came April 21, when it dismantled Saturday’s opponent, Arambagh, 4-0 in their previous meeting. Mohammedan also owns a 2-2-1 record in its last five league contests, with the lone draw coming against Bangladesh Police on March 13.
Arambagh enters the match having drawn 2-2 with Brothers Union on April 30. That result extended a modest unbeaten run to two games after a 1-0 victory at Rahmatgonj on April 24 and a 3-0 win at PWD SC on March 14. However, the team’s overall season has been marked by inconsistency. Earlier in the campaign, Arambagh lost 3-0 to Abahani on Jan. 3 and 3-0 to Rahmatgonj on Dec. 6, 2025. The club has managed only three wins in its last 10 outings, with four losses and three draws.
Arambagh’s defense has struggled against Mohammedan this season, conceding four goals in the April 21 meeting. The home side has not kept a clean sheet since that March 14 victory over PWD SC.
The match is organized by the Bangladesh Premier League. According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is a 1-1 draw.
Saturday’s game will be the second of two regular-season meetings between the clubs. Mohammedan holds a significant edge in the head-to-head ledger for this campaign, having outscored Arambagh 4-0 in the first encounter. Arambagh will aim to reverse that result on its home pitch while Mohammedan attempts to build on its recent shutout victory.
Kickoff is scheduled for later Saturday afternoon local time.
