Union Klosterfelde vs TSG Neustrelitz

Preview: Union Klosterfelde hosts TSG Neustrelitz in Oberliga clash

KLOSTERFELDE, Germany (Interstat) — Union Klosterfelde will look to build on a dramatic comeback victory when it hosts TSG Neustrelitz on Friday, May 8, in a Regionalliga-level Oberliga matchup.

Kickoff is scheduled for an evening start at Sportplatz Klosterfelde.

Both sides enter the fixture carrying strong recent form. Union Klosterfelde (11-4-3 in its last 18 league matches) rallied to defeat Lichtenberg 3-2 on May 1, erasing a two-goal deficit in the second half. The win extended the home side’s unbeaten run to four matches.

TSG Neustrelitz (10-3-5 in its last 18) arrives after a 2-0 shutout of Tasmania Berlin on Sunday, May 3. That result pushed its unbeaten streak to five games. The visitors have allowed just one goal in their past four outings, a stretch that includes three clean sheets.

Friday’s contest marks the second meeting this season between the clubs. Neustrelitz won the reverse fixture 2-1 on Oct. 26, 2025, at home.

Union Klosterfelde’s recent results reveal a side capable of both scoring and conceding. Since late February, the team has posted wins over Siedenbollentin, Sparta Lichtenberg, Tasmania Berlin, Anker Wismar and FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin, plus a draw at Optik Rathenow. The only defeat in that span came against Hansa Rostock, a 3-1 loss on April 19.

TSG Neustrelitz, meanwhile, has been stingy defensively. After a 2-1 defeat to Lichtenberg on April 26, the visitors bounced back with consecutive shutouts against Anker Wismar (1-0) and Tasmania Berlin (2-0). Earlier this season, Neustrelitz also posted wins over Dynamo Schwerin, FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin, TUS Makkabi, Optik Rathenow and Tennis Borussia Berlin. A 2-2 draw with Croatia Berlin on April 12 and a scoreless draw at Hansa Rostock on March 22 highlight the team’s resilience.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, reflecting the tight nature of the matchup.

Union Klosterfelde will rely on its attack, which has scored at least two goals in seven of its last 12 league games. Neustrelitz, however, has conceded more than one goal only twice in its past 20 matches.

The Oberliga, Germany’s fifth tier, continues to provide competitive football in the northeastern region. Standings were not immediately available.

Friday’s match will be the penultimate league fixture for both teams before the season concludes.
