ASC Armire vs ASC Karib
CAYENNE, French Guiana (Interstat) — ASC Armire and ASC Karib will meet Saturday, May 16, in a Régional 1 matchup at Armire’s home ground, with both sides seeking consistency in a tight league campaign.
ASC Karib enters the contest with momentum, having won eight of 12 matches this season, including a 1-0 victory over Agouado on Nov. 29 and a 4-0 thrashing of CSC Cayenne on March 22. However, the visitors are coming off a 2-1 loss at Matoury on April 29, a result that ended a three-match winning streak. Karib’s only other defeats this season came at Cosma (3-0 on Feb. 14) and at Grand Santi (1-0 on Nov. 8), underscoring a vulnerability away from home against disciplined opposition.
ASC Armire, meanwhile, has struggled for form. The hosts have managed just one win in their last 11 outings — a 1-0 victory over Olymp de Cayenne on May 6 — and own a 1-7-3 record overall. Armire played to a 1-1 draw at Grand Santi on May 10, a result that halted a three-match losing streak but did little to mask a season-long inability to create scoring chances. Only once this campaign has Armire scored more than one goal in a game, and that was a 3-2 loss at Remire on Nov. 29.
The teams last met Oct. 11, 2025, playing to a 0-0 stalemate at Karib. That result fits a pattern of tight, defensive encounters. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw Saturday.
Both clubs have demanding schedules ahead. Karib faces Le Geldar on May 24 and Olymp de Cayenne on May 30. Armire travels to Agouado on May 30 and hosts Remire on June 6. Points this weekend could prove critical in shaping the final table.
