Preview: King’s Cup – Al Hilal at Al Kholood

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (Interstat) — Al Hilal Saudi Club will visit Al Kholood Saudi Club on Friday, May 8, in a King’s Cup matchup as the defending champions look to extend a winning run against an opponent that has not played a competitive match in nearly two months.

Al Hilal enters the contest on a two-match winning streak. The team defeated Al Riyadh 2-0 on Aug. 29, 2025, and most recently beat Al Khaleej 2-1 on Tuesday, May 5. The victory over Al Khaleej extended Al Hilal’s momentum as the club juggles domestic league and cup obligations.

Al Kholood’s most recent result was a 2-2 draw at Al Ittihad on March 18. The club’s last win came Nov. 28, 2025, a 4-3 home victory over Al Khaleej. Al Kholood also posted a 2-1 win at Al Bukiryah on Sept. 22, 2025. The team has not played since the draw with Al Ittihad, a layoff of more than seven weeks.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-0 victory for Al Hilal.

Following Friday’s cup match, Al Hilal will return to Saudi Pro League play on Saturday, May 16, at home against NEOM SC. The club then travels to Al Fayha on Thursday, May 21.

Kickoff is scheduled for Friday. Al Kholood is the designated home team.
