MILAN (Interstat) — Legnago Salus hosts Este on Sunday, May 10, in a Serie D matchup at Stadio Mario Sandrini, with both teams coming off victories last weekend.

Legnago Salus (4-1 win at Vigasio on May 3) has been in strong form, winning three of its past four matches. The club sits near the top of the group standings, fueled by a potent attack that scored five goals against Portogruaro Calcio ASD on April 26.

Este responded to a scoreless draw against Union Clodiense on April 17 with a 2-1 win at Treviso on April 26, then blanked Luparense 2-0 on May 3. The visitors have alternated wins and losses over their past six outings, but their defense has been stingy, allowing just one goal in the last two matches.

The teams met twice this season. On April 12, Este and Legnago Salus played to a 1-1 draw at Legnago. In the earlier encounter Nov. 30, 2025, Este won 3-2 at home. The Interstat game simulator projects another 1-1 draw.

Legnago Salus enters with momentum: a 5-0 thrashing of Portogruaro on April 26, a 1-1 draw at Mestre on April 19, and the 1-1 tie with Este on April 12. The club also posted a 1-0 win over Conegliano on March 29 and a 2-0 victory at Unione La Rocca on March 22.

Este’s form has been uneven. After the draw with Legnago, the team lost 2-0 at Calvi Noale on April 3, then fell 1-0 at Brian Lignano on March 29. A 2-1 loss at Bassano on March 22 preceded a 1-0 win at Campodarsego on March 15. Este owns a 2-0 win over Portogruaro Calcio ASD on March 1 and a 1-0 victory at Adriese on Feb. 22.

Legnago Salus has been particularly dominant at home, where it has not lost since Nov. 30. The defensive unit has kept three clean sheets in the past seven home games. Este’s road record is mixed, with three wins, three draws and two losses away from home this season.

Key players to watch: Legnago Salus forward Mattia Bortolotti has scored in three of the last four matches. Este midfielder Lorenzo Pavanello leads the team in assists and set up the equalizer in the April 12 draw.

Kickoff is at 3 p.m. local time. The match will be streamed on the Serie D official platform.
