US Lege-Cap-Ferret vs Blagnac FC

LEGE-CAP-FERRET, France (Interstat) — US Lege-Cap-Ferret hosts Blagnac FC on Saturday, May 9, in a National 3 Group B matchup that carries distinct implications for each club as the season enters its final stretch.
Blagnac FC (4-6-6, 18 points) arrives having lost four of its past five matches, a stretch that has stalled the club’s momentum after a promising start to the spring. Most recently, Blagnac fell 2-0 at Toulouse FC’s reserve side on April 19, a result that mirrored a 1-0 loss at RCO Agde on March 28 and a 2-0 defeat at FC Alberes-Argeles on Feb. 21.
The lone bright spot in that span was a 3-0 victory at Onet-le-Chateau Football on March 14. Before that slide, Blagnac had won two of three, including a 1-0 result at FC Bassin d’Arcachon on Feb. 28 and a 2-1 win over SAG Cestas on Dec. 7.
Away form has been a persistent concern. Blagnac is 2-5-2 on the road this season, with both wins coming against clubs currently in the bottom half of the table.
US Lege-Cap-Ferret (4-5-5, 17 points) sits one point behind its Saturday opponent and has endured its own struggles of late. The club is winless in its past three league fixtures, most recently dropping a 2-0 decision to Toulouse FC’s reserves on April 11.
That defeat came after a 1-1 draw at US Castanet on Feb. 7, which followed a promising 3-1 home victory over FC Bassin d’Arcachon on Jan. 24. The draw at Castanet was Lege-Cap-Ferret’s only point in its past four matches.
Lege-Cap-Ferret’s home form has been inconsistent. The club’s previous home result was the win over Bassin d’Arcachon, but that came after a 2-2 draw with Toulouse FC’s second side on Dec. 7. Prior to that, the club dropped a 3-1 decision at home to Pau FC’s reserve side on Oct. 4.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, a result that would leave both teams in the middle of the National 3 table with little movement in either direction. For Blagnac, a victory would provide breathing room from the relegation zone; for Lege-Cap-Ferret, three points would create separation from the bottom three and lift the club into the top half.
Both clubs average just over one goal per game. Blagnac has scored 16 goals in 16 matches, while Lege-Cap-Ferret has netted 17. Defensively, Blagnac has conceded 18, Lege-Cap-Ferret 19. A low-scoring, tight affair appears likely.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. local time at Stade Municipal de Lege-Cap-Ferret.
