JURA, France (Interstat) — Jura Dolois Football will look to extend its dominance over RC Strasbourg Alsace 2 when the teams meet Saturday, May 9, in a National 3 clash at Stade Municipal.

Jura Dolois beat Strasbourg 2-0 on Jan. 18, the most recent meeting between the sides. That result extended Jura’s head-to-head advantage, and the home side enters the weekend with momentum after a 2-0 victory over Besancon Football on April 25.

However, Jura Dolois has been inconsistent. After the Jan. 18 win, they fell 3-0 to Troyes on March 28, then rebounded with a 3-1 victory over ES Thaon on March 14 before a 1-0 loss to FC Chalonnais on March 7. A 0-0 draw with Besancon on April 18 followed, ahead of last week’s 2-0 win over CA Pontarlier.

RC Strasbourg Alsace 2 arrives on a three-match losing streak. Since a 2-0 defeat to Jura Dolois in January, Strasbourg lost 3-0 to Besancon on Jan. 30, drew 0-0 with Thonon Evian on Jan. 25, then fell again to Besancon 3-0 on April 26. Their last win came Feb. 7 against US Torcy-Paris Vallee de la Marne (2-0), followed by a 3-2 loss to FC Mulhouse on Feb. 14, a 3-1 defeat at FC Sochaux-Montbeliard on April 19, and a 2-2 draw with Troyes on April 12.

Strasbourg’s season has been marked by defensive struggles. They have allowed three or more goals in four of their last 10 matches.
