COMAYAGUA, Honduras (Interstat) — Rodrigo Gómez scored in the 31st minute for Motagua and Gabriel Araújo equalized for Policia Nacional FC in the 59th minute Sunday at Estadio Municipal Carlos Miranda, leaving the Liga Nacional match at a 1-1 draw.

Motagua, which had won 5-1 at Atletico Choloma on April 26, moved to 18-10-15 in league play. Policia Nacional FC, coming off a 2-2 draw at Olancho, stood at 10-20-11. The teams had met April 5, with Motagua winning 3-1.

Gómez’s early strike gave the visitors the lead before Araújo leveled for the home side. Neither team found a winner in the second half. The result extended Motagua’s unbeaten streak to two games after a loss at UPNFM on April 30. Policia Nacional FC avoided a third consecutive defeat.
