AUCKLAND, New Zealand (Interstat) — Lachlan Brook scored in the 24th minute and Harry Crawford answered in the 63rd as Auckland FC and Adelaide United played to a 1-1 draw Saturday in an A-League match at Go Media Stadium in Penrose.

Brook, a forward, put Auckland ahead early. Crawford, a substitute, leveled the score for Adelaide. Panagiotis Kikianis, Sam Cosgrove and Craig Goodwin each recorded an assist.

Discipline was an issue late. Goodwin earned a yellow card in the 78th minute, Cosgrove followed in the 80th and Kikianis was cautioned in second-half stoppage time.

Both sides entered with identical records. Auckland FC and Adelaide United are now 0-0-1 in A-League play and 0-0-1 across all competitions. The result leaves each team searching for its first victory of the season.
